I’m in my 28th year in the mortgage business.
Back in my 2nd and 3rd year I learned how to build my business by referral, meaning the people I worked with, whether a borrower, real estate agent, lawyer, or financial planner, trusted me enough to send someone else who could use my help.

That trust has literally put food on my table for almost three decades.
It’s the most humbling compliment to disappear into my work, love what I do, and build a business that never depended on algorithms.

I believe this is the real secret: disappear doing what you’re committed to or what you love and let your service speak for itself.

Now I’m ready to take everything I’ve learned and give it away so I can leave the world better than I found it.

For those who know me, I like to keep things real. I’ve had a YouTube channel for awhile now but been consistently using it to post my weekly videos. I haven’t been promoting it, but I think it could be of value. So I’m sharing.

I'm not surprised. It was just a matter of time. While direct to consumer "sounds great," the reality is that most people don't know the ins and outs of mortgage policy and therefore need more support than one thinks. Mortgages are not just about rates. Different lenders have different rules, different "risk policies" and therefore, different rates. It's worth hiring a professional.
