Five electrical safety tips you should know for your home
1. Replace or repair damaged power cords:
This is caused by either the wire being pinched or too much wattage for the plug: for example to put an electric heater to a plug
2. Don’t overload your outlets:
for example running a large heater on a Gfi or a plug
3. Avoid extension cords as much as possible: mainly because they are not rated for heavy currents
4. Keep electrical equipment or outlets away from water: As water and electricity once touch each other may kill/burn the person/pet
5. Protect small children from hazards: use safety covers for plugs, so they can
not poke anything inside the hole of the plug
