NNER LEVELS 1, 2, 3
3 months to complete. $199/Month
Repetition: Outward Focus, Telling the Truth, & Point of View. Scene Study in month 3. An essential exploration, with a strong focus, to Meisner's first tool, the Repetition Exercise. Actors will learn to become spontaneous responders and to live truthfully from moment to moment with their partners. Scene work in month 3. Pre-requisite: Studio Meisner Program, Intro Course. INTERMEDIATE LEVELS 1, 2, 3
3 months to complete. $249/Month
Knock at the Door, Independent Activity, Preparation & Relationship. Actors learn how to focus their attention on doing something specific and meaningful. How to stimulate and channel their imagination, and how to create several specific relationships to treat their scene partner differently in each improvisational exercise, using Repetition to interact in with their partners. Prerequisite: Studio Meisner Program, Beginner Level 3 course or equivalent.

Character through Impediments and Monologue. Audition Coaching and Scene Work with Showcases and Performance nights. Sanford Meisner was an American actor and renowned acting teacher. According to Sanford Meisner, "The foundation of acting is the reality of doing." He defined acting as "living truthfully under given imaginary circumstances." He created a technique (a series of tools) that actors can rely on to be truthful, open, impulsive and grounded. One that removes thinking from your acting, allowing you to be more alive and impulsive.

Another Scene Study class in the books! It was a tiny class (due to weather-related issues) but it was mighty!

Next Scene Study class will run in the spring. In the meantime, join our monthly Technique class - next one begins March 2!
