Imaginary Expedition
http://imaginaryexpedition.bandcamp.com Classically-informed contemporary folk duo—Precise counterpoint, snug harmony, & cozy vibes by songwriter-sweethearts Glyph Greenleaf + Victoria Dobbs
Original duet with interwoven, contrapuntal vocal lines that sway like willows in the summer wind.
Lyrics:
Willows sway in the breeze
Shaded by willows’ flowing leaves
Will you sit at my side
Under the willows, you and I?
Oh, what a beautiful day
How the light catches your hair
No, I cannot look away
Hoping you’ll notice me there
Will I make you my own
Or weep with the willows all alone?

Performed live at Tranzac Club, Toronto, ON
Sunday March 8, 2026
Freespirited folk songwriters with chamber music sensibilities, exploring natural and emotional landscapes in dreamy harmony. The duo of Victoria Dobbs and Glyph Greenleaf combines folk songwriting with early music composition techniques and intimate performance practice, quietly pushing the limits of what can be achieved with only their alto and baritone voices and a classical guitar. The name Imaginary Expedition reflects the experience they hope to create: songs that spark daydreams and send listeners on journeys through emotional terrain shaped by the vivid changing seasons of the North.
