what does the vagus nerve do? lots 😮♥️🙏🏻

In ancient times, Bealtaine celebrated the end of the dark half of the year and the coming of the light half. It is the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice.

The name Bealtaine derives from the Irish meaning ‘Bright Fire’, or Béal -tine (mouth of fire). Bealtaine in the modern Irish language also means the month of May. The earliest mention of Bealtaine is in the medieval texts Tochmarc Emire and Sanas Cormaic. They say that Bealtaine was held on 1st May and marked the beginning of summer. The texts describe the ritual undertaken to protect cattle from disease, how the druids would make two fires “with great incantations” and drive the cattle between the two fires.

This old Irish saying survived in the memory of the people, up until modern times  especially amongst farmers who often referred to this saying, around Bealtaine time, when they were moving the cows out to pasture.
