Faduma Mohamed is a spoken word poet, a playwright, an autism advocate, an upcoming actor and soon to be teacher. In 2016, she produced her one-woman-play OUGHTISM in d'bi young's Watah Theatre. In 2019, she wrote the sequel Golden Mind: A Journey Through Love, Activism and the Realm of Autism. Her sequel went on to win the University of Toronto Mississauga's Department of Historical Studies: Creativity Award and was even featured at the university's Feminist Launch Series!

From 2015 to 2016, Faduma carried a box from her play everywhere she went, to challenge the stigma around autism. The autism awareness and fundraising initiative called “ ” has since raised nearly $12,000, benefiting families in Toronto, Edmonton and London, England. In early 2020, she was then awarded the City of Toronto Young Women in Leadership finalist Pam McConnell Award and voted 2018 ByBlacks Canada People's Choice Award for Poet | Spoken Word Artist.

Most recently, Faduma has made the transition from the stage to the screen, starring in the series "Ayan's World". This fall, she will be attending York University's Bachelor of Education Consecutive program. Above all, she believes in the power of dreams.
