Welcome to the new and improved June Rowlands Park at the corner of Davisville and Mount Pleasant road. Last year the children’s playgrounds in the park underwent full transformation and now they are available for fun use to the young people in the area.
The wooden climbing structures created in the space are very unique and colorful. The kids get challenged to climb and walk on large wooden beams while holding onto a rope, or just climb different beams or steps to get to the large slide. They have a “hamster wheel” where they can climb on top, a net to “fall into” that they enjoy very much. There are the usual swings and tatter totters that delight the neighbours.
The “Musical instruments” are there as well for the young ones to practice their percussionist skills. We have never been at the park and not enjoy a “performance” ..
In the summer the splash pad area will be a delight as well with several new structures that will sq**rt water onto the summer visitors decked in their bathing gear.
The transformation of the park has been wonderful and local residents are very happy to have this place available for fun and play.

Art on The Beach:
“Winter Stations” the wonderful creations have come to the Toronto Beaches for the fourth year this winter! If you have not been down to the beach, (and we understand, it is winter after all!!!) it would be worth your trip.
The annual competition for the creation of these art structures had a theme of “RIOT” and asked the participants to submit ideas that were related to disturbance, uproar and uncontrolled feelings, as the past year was a year of upheaval and continued uncertainty.
The submissions were reviewed and winners were announced at the end of January. The installations are now built and will be at the beach thill April 1. You have a lot of time to visit these amazing structures.
