As more Canadians speak languages other than English and French, we’re seeing cultural shifts that create new opportunities to share the Gospel across different communities.

Over 4.6 million Canadians speak a language other than English or French at home, which is over 12% of the population. This is a growing opportunity for the message of Christ to be shared in new ways.

As more Canadians speak languages outside of English/French, there are new cultural shifts that create the need for connections, fresh perspectives, and indigenous leaders in our growing communities.

The harvest is plentiful, and the workers are needed.

Church is changing in Canada.

A number of factors, have led to the decline in church attendance. But this is largely due to the a generational shift in religiosity.

People want community, connection, and hope.

As the religious landscape continues to change in Canada, we must be willing to adapt.

To build relationships.
To make disciples of Jesus.
To plant churches.

We have moved from a society that was centered around the social happenings of the church.

Church isn’t about the programs anymore, people are ultimately yearning for connection and Christ.

Many of our country’s provinces have lighthouses scattered along their waterways and coasts.

Nova Scotia has more than 150 lighthouses, including the famous Peggy’s Cove.

Through the centuries, lighthouses have guided ships safely into harbours away from the danger of the waters. They warn against hazards that may be in the path and aid in establishing a safe route.

As Christians, we can go through life not fearing what may be in front of us, but continuing knowing that we can trust the Lord to care for us and guide us.
