The new Chinedesign summer collection that we gave you a sneak peek of back in February at the Royal Ontario Museum is launching today! For AfroChic Cultural Arts Exhibit, Chinedu will be exclusively debuting the new collection titled “ILU” which means proverb in his native Igbo language. Incorporating Chinedu's original silk prints and handmade Nigerian fabrics, it is inspired by the power and wisdom of proverbs and the iconography and symbolism of Asafo flags from Ghana.
AfroChic Cultural Arts Exhibit will be hosted by Amanda Parriss of CBC Arts who will also be conducting an interactive session with Nigerian-American "Classic Man" Jidenna. Advance tickets are sold out already but there will be door tickets. See you there! And for those of you that can't make it today, stay tuned for the ILU lookbook!

It featured 7 designers (including myself) from around the world who were commissioned to create pieces inspired by the theme of water. It has been an amazing experience to start Here are a few behind the scene photos by Jalani Morgan. This set is one in a series of four. For more from Set 1, click here: http://tinyurl.com/waterbts
