Fresh Metrics

❓ Did you know you need to run two different type of analyses on your business?
For some months you may in fact have to run the following two types:
🔸 The most common one is what I like to call 'Business as usual' analyses. This is usually a dashboard that has all your specific business metrics that give you a bird's eye-view into the overall performance of you business.
Things like:
- Traffic volume by source
- Conversion performance - sign ups, call bookings, purchases, etc.
- SEO performance - what keywords are driving traffic to your website
- Email list performance -list size, open rate & click-through rate
🔸 The second type of analyses that you may need to run are more 'Ad-hoc' ones. Meaning you only need to do them after specific events in your business.
Examples of ad-hoc analysis are:
- Launch performance
- Holiday campaign performance (i.e. Black Friday/Cyber Monday)
- A/B test performance - You ran an A/B test for a very specific aspect of your business and now you need to analyze how it went.
- Paid Campaign performance
Ad-hoc analysis are rarely Dashboards, they're usually more complex data reports or presentations.
Monthly reports should be used to take the 'pulse check' of your business, while Ad-hoc analysis should be used to make strategic decisions on next steps or a direction to move towards.
To make it easier for you to start looking at your data on a monthly basis, I have put together the 𝙒𝙚𝙗𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙 which gives you visibility into the universal metrics that all businesses should look at.
To view the information that's included in the dashboard, you can go to freshmetrics.co/dashboard and see the preview video.

It's that time of the month again! ⏰ Time⠀
⠀
You all know, I'm here to help you make friends with your data. This is why I encourage you to create time and space to have a data with your metrics and sit down to see how your previous month(s) went. ⠀
⠀
The 3 key areas I invite you to look at are:⠀
⠀
1) Traffic volume - You need to understand how many eyeballs you had on your business/offering/product/page, etc. These are the numbers you'll need to properly calculate your conversion rates⠀
⠀
2) Engagement - How are folks engaging with your content? be it your IG posts, your emails, your blog, your sales page? If they're not engaging and you need them to, we need to understand why.⠀
⠀
3) Conversions - This is the money shot. Are folks taking action on the things that bring in the $$ to your business? Are they buying, are they booking a call, are they signing up? ⠀
⠀
Taking a look at metrics from these 3 areas and evaluating them over time is what's going to give you the insights. ⠀
⠀
If you're looking for a fast and easy way to have visibility into all these and more, I invite you to take a look at the 𝙒𝙚𝙗𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙.⠀

August has arrived! That means it's time to look at your metrics friends! ⠀
⠀
What to look at on your :⠀
⠀
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁?⠀
⠀
• How many people came for a visit to your website? More/less/same as last month? More/less/same as last year?⠀
⠀
• How did they get to you? Was it from SEO? From IG? ⠀
⠀
• Did they stay and looked around? Or was it a short visit?⠀
⠀
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭?⠀
⠀
• What pages did the visitors look at? What pages did they not look at?⠀
⠀
• Did they spend much time on the pages? Enough for them to get everything they needed?⠀
⠀
• What was the first page that they saw in their visit? Is this the only page they saw?⠀
⠀
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝?⠀
⠀
• All these people came for a visit, how many of them did what's valuable for the business?⠀
⠀
• Of those that did what was valuable for the business, where did they come from? How has it changed from last month? last year?⠀
⠀
• Have the percentage of my visitors who have completed the important actions on my site increase/decrease/stayed the same?⠀
⠀
Start with these questions and see what they reveal. ⠀
