"My fight is not about my work, it’s about not having gender equality. As a working woman, I’ve been so disciplined and made my way to being the CEO of UBS, I’ve cracked billion dollar deals and gone home after to help my daughter with her science project. I’m on the World’s top 50 women on the business list, we set up Moelis from scratch and I still have 20 hour days but that doesn’t make me any less of a homemaker. The Family Caregiver Alliance indicates that women who have adult caregiving responsibilities cope—to the best of their abilities—with the combined pressures of caring for a loved one, their need for income, reliance on often inadequate public programs and fewer employment-related benefits. Women who don’t have partners have even more challenges. But as the crisis with their family member goes on, the study found that:

• 33 percent of working women decreased work hours
• 29 percent passed up a job promotion, training or assignment
• 22 percent took a leave of absence
• 20 percent switched from full-time to part-time employment
• 16 percent quit their jobs
