Little Ghosts readers are feral for that goopy oozy weird uncomfortable knights and peasants and Christian missionary s**t. Y’know. Fire and brimstone and big castles and squelchy mud and swords and demons and monks and nuns. A nightmare through stained glass. That kinda dark literature, that should come from an illuminated manuscript.

We had an absolute BLAST teaming up with Hopeless Romantic Books for almost 5 months of Union Station genre mash-up shenanigans!

We got to platform authors in an awesome historic space, build a new Little Ghost, and bring indie horror to a whole new crowd.

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came to haunt us in the terminal underground. Our move out was a little bit “Exit 8” but we have arrived safe at the home store at 930 Dundas West and are whole again.

Come by to our beautiful store ABOVE GROUND and enjoy sunshine and patios with us once more. The books are scary but we like to think that we are not.

✨TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK✨

Did you know… Little Ghosts Books publishes 3-4 books a year?
That’s right! We’ve been publishing for a little over three years, a couple of novellas and an anthology or two per year.

This is no small feat! Between reading submission calls, editing, designing, and distributing, all hands are on deck for our little publishing house. Chris does our covers, dev edits, and formatting. Phi is our copy editor and checks in on timelines and scheduling. Sometimes we even have a little help from our friends! Thanks Lor Gislason most recently for jumping in for phi on their book (no one can copyedit themselves).

Our secret mission? We wanted our book spines to make a rainbow one day. In 2026 we will ACHIEVE OUR GOAL with the upcoming fall release of Nightmare Country Jason

Hey Little Ghosts Folks… have you ever been Work In Progress Curious??

WIP Night is our Monthly Author Workshop series. Currently in its second year, we offer space to local writers to share snippets of their latest drafts for valuable peer feedback. Listed on our events page and sold out nearly every month, we have developed an absolutely rad community of creatives. Very chuffed to report there have been many publication celebrations as of late from pals who fine-tuned pieces at our workshop night.

Now is your chance: WIP Night observes a strict “no loony-loos” policy. To foster a vulnerable and collaborative environment, every attendee of WIP Night has to share a story. On Saturday June 13th, we welcome all you peeping Toms to join in on the fun…

WIP IT OUT: Work in Progress… IN PUBLIC is our first in a reading series where authors of all skill levels read work that is still in draft phase!
We’ll be joined by all q***r writers, seasoned published professionals and brand new short fiction authors who are sharing pieces with the kinks still in.
