Unfortunately, the study was cut short due to the high-expense nature of production of Genetically Modified Exceptionally Shiny and Nutritionally Deficient Fruits (GMESNDF). Further funding is required to pursue a greater understanding of kitzolotl behaviour and develop a potential solution to preserve the species.
