2016 — ten years ago.
That year was a season of soul-searching.
A breakup that forced stillness.
A deep desire to make a name for myself.
An urgency to grow my art before I even knew what that fully meant.
I traveled solo to Los Angeles—danced endlessly, took photos obsessively, learned through movement, light, and solitude. I dreamed up events for dancers, not knowing if they’d ever happen, only that I had to try.
It was a time filled with insecurity, longing, and proving—mostly to myself.
A version of me searching outward for validation while quietly building something inward.
Now, I’m in a different place.
More confident.
Less reactive.
More purposeful.
Still creating—but with intention.
Still growing—but with grace.
This isn’t about who I was versus who I am.
It’s about honoring the journey it took to get here.
Album covers were the blueprints.
Before mood boards and Pinterest, we had 50 Cent, Nas, Missy, and Outkast teaching us how attitude, lighting, and styling could tell a whole story in a single frame.
This shoot pulled from that same energy bold poses, streetwear edge, and raw confidence straight from the era when a cover photo was the culture.
