Over the past few weeks, Cogniciti had the pleasure of connecting with communities across Ontario through a series of engaging Brain Health Workshops, offered in collaboration with Baycrest Academy for Research and Education.

📍We recently hosted sessions at Filipino Centre Toronto in Scarborough, Hillsview Activity Centre in Acton, and Applegrove Community Complex in Toronto, where older adults had the opportunity to explore their cognitive health in a supportive and educational environment.

🖥️Each workshop featured Cogniciti’s free, evidence-based Brain Health Assessment, developed by leading neuroscientists to screen for changes in memory and thinking. Participants also received a presentation on key strategies to help support brain health and reduce dementia risk through manageable lifestyle changes.

💬Our team members had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with participants about their Brain Health Assessment scores, share evidence-based strategies for maintaining and improving brain health, and introduce the free tools and resources available through Cogniciti and Baycrest.

📊Attendees also used our Smart Tracker Tool to reflect on their habits around sleep, nutrition, exercise, cognitive and social engagement, and emotional well-being — key pillars for lifelong brain health. Everyone went home with a Brain Health Booklet full of practical, research-based tips to support healthy aging.

A heartfelt thank you to The Slaight Family Foundation for their continued support in bringing these valuable resources to community centres across the region.

At Cogniciti, we strive to engage with communities in and outside of the GTA. Recently, we partnered with two organizations, the Stouffville 55+ Club and the Tillsonburg Seniors Centre, to host Brain Health Workshops for older adults interested in learning about their memory and brain health.

💻Community members completed Cogniciti’s free, scientifically validated, and evidence-based Brain Health Assessment to evaluate their cognition. The workshop included an educational presentation on how to maintain and improve brain health to reduce the risk of developing dementia.

🧠Participants also used Cogniciti’s Smart Tracker Tool, which evaluates lifestyle choices and provides recommendations to improve brain health and overall wellness. Lifestyle factors discussed included diet, exercise, sleep, and social connections. Community members also received a Brain Health Booklet, which includes more evidence-based ways to improve brain health and memory.

Thank you to The Slaight Family Foundation for their support in allowing workshops to take place in community centres across the GTA and Golden Horseshoe!
