Not all struggles are visible — and not all are understood.

When learning disabilities are misread, the impact goes far beyond academics. Being labelled as “behind,” singled out, or misunderstood can take a real toll on mental health. Often, shaping self-esteem, increasing anxiety, and affecting a person’s sense of belonging.

Join us on June 15 for a conversation that challenges assumptions and explores what’s really behind these experiences. Together, we’ll look at how environments and systems can unintentionally reinforce stigma, and how shifting toward more inclusive, strengths-based approaches can better support confidence, wellbeing, and connection.

June marks National Indigenous History Month – a time to celebrate, reflect, and deepen our understanding of the rich histories, diverse cultures, and enduring contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.

It is also a time to reflect on the realities Indigenous Peoples have endured and the truths that still demand our attention. It’s a chance to deepen our understanding of Indigenous Peoples by learning about their histories, ways of life and the lived realities that continue to shape this land.

By acknowledging our shared history and deepening our understanding, we build upon our work towards reconciliation and support the preservation of Indigenous culture, traditions and languages.

As connection declines, stress and burnout rise. But when people feel supported and included, teams become healthier, stronger, and more resilient.

This Mental Health Week, let’s come together to create workplaces where open conversations are encouraged, relationships matter, and no one feels alone at work. Our latest article explores why workplace connection is essential — and shares practical tips and activities managers and teams can use to build connection every day.
