Meet Ophelia. She was made while having a paint night with friends. Am I particularly artistic? No, that honour and skill went to my child. Is it still fun to do something that you don’t normally do? Yes. And bonus, I got to do it around people I like. 😊

Happy New Year! It’s Michelle of Sprouting Balance with a reminder …

You do not need to start any resolutions because it is January 1st. You do not need to start a new diet or begin a new workout routine.

We are always working towards a new version of ourselves. Every day is a new version of you. So what will this day bring you? And tomorrow ... and the day after that? Take each day as an opportunity to be an authentic version of you.

New Year, Same You

I have owned this Yellow Submarine top for years. It is comfortable, I like the fit, and it’s The Beatles! But does it fit with my True Summer palette? Do the colours make me look and feel my best?

There are five colours in the shirt - the dominant grey of the t-shirt and then the pattern with black, yellow, orange, and pink.

The yellow and orange are warm and work better with Spring/Autumn palettes. They are the star of the show since it is prominent in the Yellow Submarine image. However, the colour of the t-shirt is cool toned, as well as, the pink flowers in the image and the black used in the characters.

To ensure this t-shirt looks the best on me, I add other cool-toned items like a pink sweater and grey jewellery.

Ultimately … wear what you love and enjoy the item. Even if it is not entirely in your best colours.
