Few days ago I had a conversation with a friend, telling her the way someone was treating her or me, was telling more about them. Showing off their insecurities. Then while people spend time speaking bad about us, we are moving in directions that make us happy. Block the noise and keep going where you want to go. Chose yourself and your own peace.

As I’m heading to host my first yoga event today, I wanted to share a few words with you. If you have been following my story, you know a bit about me. I moved to Toronto in 2014 with broken English, no job, no friends, just a suitcase. Since then, I went through many life adventures, from becoming a permanent resident to a citizen, from working with the NBA and other teams to losing my job overnight, twice. From being told my « little » blog was a waste of time to building a strong community. From living alone to meeting and building our lives together. From dealing with grief by myself during a pandemic, 7,000km away, to starting therapy to heal every part of myself. From being scared to speak English in front of a small group to hosting Canada Day for the Parliament of Ontario in front of 15,000 people. From finding out in June 2025 that I have a chronic disease called lipedema to becoming a yoga teacher in Bali few months after. From hosting my first picnic in a park to support other immigrants dealing with loneliness during COVID to hosting my yoga event today.
I hope you find a little bit of inspiration and comfort in my story. You are not alone going through the waves of life, I hope it gives you the little boost you might be missing to fight back, to build whatever you deserve, to keep going!
