As Hope Air celebrates 40 years of helping Canadians access medical care far from home, we are proud to recognize Doug Keller-Hobson as a Hope Air Patron.

Doug first joined Hope Air’s Board of Directors in 2003 and went on to serve as CEO from 2005 to 2020. During his 15 years of leadership, Hope Air grew from a small, largely volunteer-driven organization into a nationally recognized charity supporting thousands of patients and families across Canada.

Among Doug’s many contributions was his ability to turn vision into lasting impact. He championed innovations that transformed patient travel coordination from a paper-based process into a streamlined digital system, helped lay the foundation for the travel support programs patients rely on today, and guided a period of remarkable growth and organizational transformation.

Doug also prioritized building strong, lasting partnerships that would strengthen Hope Air’s impact for years to come. Through his leadership, Hope Air deepened relationships with airline partners, healthcare organizations, governments, community groups, and corporate supporters across Canada—creating a network of support that continues to help Canadians access the care they need.

As we celebrate 40 years of impact, we extend our sincere gratitude to Doug for his vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Hope Air’s mission.
