The Canadian Journalism Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to the Google News Initiative, our Supporting Next-Generation Journalists sponsor.

Through their sponsorship, the CJF is proud to host the inaugural cohort of the CJF NextGen Creator-Journalists Training Program at this year’s Awards ceremony and showcase their journalism projects on the big screen. The CJF extends its sincere thanks to our Champion of Diversity sponsors — Aritzia, BMO Financial Group, Canada Life, RBC, Scotiabank, CTV News, the Canadian Medical Association and North Horizon — whose generosity sustains the CJF Black Journalism Fellowship Program.

Launched five years ago, the CJF Black Journalism Fellowships empower early-career Black journalists with newsroom experience, training and mentorship for six months at CBC/Radio-Canada, The Globe and Mail, CTV News, or the Investigative Journalism Bureau at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto.

Our sponsors' commitment is instrumental in bringing richer, more inclusive narratives to the forefront.

The CJF thanks Rogers Communications for sponsoring the CJF Tribute.

The CJF Tribute recognizes media luminaries who have made an extraordinary journalistic impact on the international stage. This year, with Rogers’ generous support, we are thrilled to honour Susanne Craig for her probing coverage of power, money and accountability both in her role as an investigative journalist and reporter for the New York Times and as the co-author of the best-selling Lucky Loser: How Donald Trump Squandered His Father's Fortune and Created the Illusion of Success.

Craig joins past recipients Nobelist Maria Ressa, André Picard, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Anna Maria Tremonti, Jodi Kantor with Megan Twohey, Jake Tapper, Tina Brown with Sir Harold Evans, Malcolm Gladwell, David Suzuki, Lisa LaFlamme, Kara Swisher and Tanya Talaga.

Thank you, Rogers, for helping us celebrate Susanne Craig!
