For many millennia, gemstones have been used to help individuals tap into their innate human potential. Talisman and amulets were fashioned by the ancients to hold precious stones and crystals. These were adorned to help strengthen one's soul or shield the wearer from adversity. Traditions were passed down from generation to generation describing how to awaken rare gems so that its wearer could be
tter connect in spirit and live more harmoniously with the rest of natrure. Working with gemstones and natural crystals has always come intuitively to me. As an artist, I trained to assess esthetics by light, angles, and colour. These hypnotic qualities in gemstones fascinate me, and invite my soul to probe deeper and connect with Nature's soothing symmetry. For 20 years, I travelled the world over, discovering ancient civilizations and their traditions. I formed lasting relationships that afforded me access to some of the rarest mineral specimens at their source. I came to feel a sacred calling to care for these pieces and pair them with destined homes. The raw mineral trade brought me in close contact with custom production. There, I trained and cultivated innovative methods for preserving the organic nuances and romance of the specimens. Pieces were carefully sculpted and delicately polished to accentuate their intrinsic luster and reveal their inner architecture. I fought hard to preserve aspects of the stones that mass-producers often overlook, as I am sensitive to their innate shamanic traditions and qualities. We all have areas in our life where we could use a little support. As a 'Jewellery Counselor' I work personally with my clients to match the stones with the wearers' aspirations and craft jewellery pieces that carry extra meaning. The jewellery created in this way is not just fashionable, but is designed to be used as an important tool for helping empowerment or protecting the integrity of the wearers' soul. As a counselor, I work within the confines of a client's budget to craft gemstone pieces that capture an ascetic timelessness, while meeting the intended shamanic objective. Precious metals can be refined from old gold and silver jewellery and fashioned into custom crafted creations, saving clients additional expense. Heirlooms are fashionably updated, reincarnated into requisite jewellery for dynamic living.
