Dr. Rhonda McEwen will become the first Black woman president and vice chancellor of Victoria University on July 1st. Dr. McEwen has served as vice- president and principal on anti- racism and equity, was a director at the Institute of Communication, Culture, Information and Technology. She was also instrumental to the University of Toronto’s Black Research Network.

The City of Toronto is having a tribute towards the many women that have aided in the shaping of the city. Many of the women were essential to the Canadian feminist cause as well as pushing back against racism.
