At 43 I have realized that I need to spend at least twenty to thirty minutes a day stretching. If I skip it, my body lets me know right away.

Right now I am dealing with a bulged disk, tendinitis in both elbows, and a groin that feels like a piece of wood. I really wish I had taken my body more seriously when I was younger.

I remember Kobe once said that not stretching enough when he was younger was one of his biggest regrets. I feel that.

So to my younger nephews and anyone younger watching this, take this seriously. Take care of your body early. Your future self will thank you.
