If there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that how you work says a lot about who you are.

After reflecting on what really matters to me, these three values stand out:

🤝 Honesty: This one’s a no-brainer. Being truthful in everything—whether it’s owning up to a mistake or giving feedback—creates trust. And trust? It’s the foundation of any good relationship, professional or otherwise.

💪 Support: Life’s hard enough without someone trying to pull you down. I firmly believe in being the person who lifts others up, whether it’s a simple “you’ve got this” or pitching in when someone’s overwhelmed.

❤️ Respect: It costs nothing to treat people with dignity, but it means everything. Respect is about valuing others’ time, effort, and individuality, and it’s a standard I hold myself to every day.

These aren’t just values for work—they’re how I try to show up in life. What are your top values? Share them with me!

5 Easy Steps on how to start Freelancing with NO EXPERIENCE

Earlier this month, Lalisa of Blackpink released her First Single Album "Lalisa". One of the tracks is entitled "Money" that most of her Filipino fans can't fully relate to (based on the comments in the actual video) because we're just simple penniless human beings.

(italic) Dolla bills, dolla bills, watch it fallin' for me I love the way that feels

Truth be told, working online as Freelancers with foreign clients, can somehow associate with the song's lyrics because they earn Dollars but it's converted to Philippine Peso before it reaches their bank accounts. Over time, if their religiously saving, they would slowly achieve the financial freedom state just much more slow-moving than Lalisa but more speedy than ordinary corporate employees (i promise, no intentional offense)

So, how do you start your freelancing career in 5 easy steps?

👉🏻 Get the right equipment. You don't need to own a high-end PC or laptop. Just something that you can use to start your journey will be enough. Upgrading later would be your best investment.
👉🏼 Find your niche. A friendly piece of advice, stick to a niche that you're passionate about. Everything will fall into place as long as you love what you're doing.
👉🏽 Improve your skills. The internet is a welcome place for endless resources. There are free courses that other freelancers generously provide to help aspiring ones, watch youtube videos, or search for some guides in Google.
👉🏾 Create a portfolio. The only way you can market yourself is by creating a Portfolio highlighting your skills. Compile all the tasks that you've learned in the courses you've taken or if there are jobs you had before that are related to what your chosen niche is.
👉🏿 Work Freelancing part-time. Now, to pick the ripening fruit, try working on small freelance gigs and learn the ways of freelancing through part-time jobs. You will know when you're ready for bigger and full-time projects.
