In English, politeness is often shown through indirect language — not tone of voice alone.
Instead of sounding demanding, use polite phrases:
• soften requests
• show respect
• make conversations smoother
Try using:
“Could you please…” → polite requests
“Would you mind if I…” → asking permission
“I’d appreciate it if…” → formal but natural politeness
These phrases are common in:
✔️ workplaces
✔️ emails
✔️ customer service
✔️ everyday conversations
Polite English helps you sound confident and professional, even when your grammar isn’t perfect.
