Multi-Talented singer/songwriter Craig Smart has been topping the charts for over a decade with his thoughtful lyrics and unmistakable hooks. Based out of Vancouver BC, Craig Smart has traveled and toured the world. He started his music career as a rapper and eventually ended up as a successful singer in both North America and Europe. Craig was the lead singer of Electra Records D-Cru which landed Craig with a Canadian Juno nomination for the song “I Will be Waiting” of the year in 2000 and a West Coast Music Award for the 2nd most played song in Canada. His Canadian accolades include songs for Hipjoint Records “What Went On” and “Baby its I”. He also has been honored with Gold and Platinum records including singing on “Faded” for Soul Decision and being a writer and singer for the worldwide hits “Summer Jam”, “Saturday Night”, “Girls of Summer” by the Underdog Project. “ Summer Jam” went Gold in France, Gold in Germany, Double Platinum in Belgium and Holland. Craig has quite a large resume of singing and writing which includes working with Master P from No Limit records in 2004 Along side C-murder, Silkk the Shocker, and Lil’ Romeo, Craig also has two songs on Master P’s Game Face album with the songs“ Back on Top” and “More than a Woman”.and also co-wrote "Alright" which was in the Eddy Murphy movie "Pluto Nash". Under Craig's alter ego Yardi Don, hit songs such as “One Love”, “Unity”, “Boom, Boom, Boom”, and “Its da Music” were produced. “One Love” alone is on over 100 compilations world wide. Roger Sanchez played it as the hit release of the week on his nationally syndicated radio show “Release Yourself” with Roger Sanchez. 2006 - 2007 were busy years for Craig. He sang at the Malta Music Awards and took on the NBG (Natural Born Groove) project where Craig was involved as singer/song writer in songs such as “Candy on the Dance Floor which debuted at #1 in the Belgium Dance Charts, and #1 in the UK Dance Charts. It went as high as #4 in the Dutch charts and was answered with being #4 in the dance charts in France. He has been co-writing and singing songs such as “Freedom”with Tristan Gardner of France on Scorpio Records #24 in France, and “Hanging On” with the House Keepers on Netswork Records out of Italy. And Fentura "live It! which climbed to number 2 in the Russian Sales Charts.
