Sri Lankans ❤️ cashews! Cashew trees are common in Sri Lanka, and cashews are eaten in multiple ways in Sri Lankan cuisine, including in desserts, deep fried or roasted,
and even in curries.
Our next product celebrates the creamy flavour of Sri Lankan cashews and is brought to you by Nanditha (Nandi), another female, home-based chef who started selling her now famous milk toffee 18 years ago. Her milk toffee is so good that she has a loyal following all over the world 🌎
Nandi’s milk toffee contains Sri Lankan cashews and a base of caramelized, sweetened condensed milk. It is crunchy, crumbly, melts in your mouth, and is reminiscent of fudge.

If you’ve never tried jackfruit, it has a meaty texture and makes a great meat alternative.
The company behind this product, Living Seeds, began with a vision to improve access to healthy, all natural food while creating employment opportunities for local families and uplifting villages across Sri Lanka.
That’s how they met a a lady named Kumuduni, in a little village called Aukana in North Central Sri Lanka, and her famous jack curry.
Fresh, tender jackfruit is simmered with coconut milk and homegrown spices. No preservatives, no artificial flavors, and it’s 100% vegan. Just heat and serve!

This picture is from our last family trip to Sri Lanka in February 2020.
Not being able to go back there for the last couple years has made us crave the Sri Lankan foods and flavours that aren’t readily available here in Toronto.
And that’s where the idea for Curated Ceylon was born.
We are working with smaller, mostly women/family owned businesses to source unique products, with an emphasis on authentic Sri Lankan ingredients.
We want to make the tropical flavours of Sri Lanka more accessible to you.
