WE WANT YOU (to answer some questions)!
We are busy developing our first season, and we want your input! For the next few weeks, we’ll be asking you via social media and our website about the highs and lows of your performing life. After all, this is a project created by artists for artists, and while we can't solve all problems (we can dream!), we sure can provide a safe and supportive environment to talk about them.
Describe...
ONE time where you felt under-supported working in the performing arts
TWO of the most difficult things about working in the performing arts
THREE things that you love most about working in the performing arts
It’s questions like these that will fuel where we take our discussions. What impacts you the most, whether it’s positive or negative, is exactly what we should be talking about. So, let’s hear it!
We welcome all forms of response - Facebook Messenger, comments, posts to either the Troubadour Project Facebook or Instagram profiles (don’t forget to tag us!), Instagram story responses, email, carrier pigeon, morse code. Whatever is most comfortable and convenient for you.
We encourage vulnerability, and we recognize some of this information may be sensitive, so if you wish to remain anonymous, just let us know. :)
Without furthur ado... Happy typing!
And share these questions with your performing arts crew!

Welcome to Troubadour Project! We’re so excited to be starting this journey, and we hope you’ll join us! But first, a quick introduction.
As participants in the performing arts, we come together for brief pockets of time to work, then part ways. We become part of a paradoxically disconnected community.
But what if we changed that?
What if we practiced our community? What if we created a space where we could get together, outside of the job and after the show is over, and reconnect with friends and colleagues old and new. Be together—in person—and chat about the highs and lows of the unique industry we work in. Hang out, laugh, and help each other grow.
That's what Troubadour Project is all about. Our mission is to foster within each artist a connection to a community which will support and enhance their individual well-being and their work. We envision a future where we can create positive change within the performing arts through collective artist empowerment.
In short, let’s start taking care of each other.
Starting next season, we will be hosting our first meetings in Toronto. And we want you to get involved.
In the meantime, keen an eye on our website and social media pages for exciting updates. Feel free to get in touch directly, follow us on Facebook (Troubadour Project) on Instagram , or simply send us some good vibes.
