Hand pollinating my squash! 🐝

🥒 Last year I let nature take its course and didn’t hand pollinate - I had only 4 squashes over the entire season!

☀️This year I decided to try hand pollinating. I have never done this before so I hope the fruit got the pollination it needed 😜

🌱You can use a paint brush or your finger tip, gently rub some pollen from the male flower (skinny stem) and rub it into the female flower (stem looks like a baby squash)

😎 Stay tuned for updates on my squash harvest. I love squashes so I hope I get a lot this year!

Perks of container planting 💐

🏵️ Saves space if you have a small garden (or a balcony)
🌿 Can be a lot easier than in-ground (raised - less bending, less weeding)
🌸 Easy to move, but also can be placed anywhere that is convenient for you
🪴If your soil type is not the best for your desired plants, pots are a perfect solution

☀️Use containers to add annuals to a porch or walkway, for herbs, and other vegetables - they can be placed anywhere! Keep in mind that containers will need to be watered more frequently than in-ground plants.
