Reassurance can make anxiety worse.
It feels helpful in the moment. Anxiety drops for a short time. Then doubt may return even stronger. This can keep the anxiety cycle active. Try a different response. Acknowledge the worry. Avoid asking for repeated reassurance. Try and stay with uncertainty instead. Make room for the uncertainty while still doing what is important to you. This can help your mind learn that anxiety can pass without constant reassurance seeking.

OCD is not about being neat or organized.
OCD involves intrusive thoughts and strong urges to reduce distress. Rituals bring short relief but can keep the cycle active. A helpful step is often response prevention. Notice the urge. Delay the ritual. Sit with the discomfort. This can help to build tolerance and reduce the hold OCD has over time.
