Many people confuse creating an Express Entry profile with applying for PR. Here’s a simplified breakdown:

1️⃣ Create your Express Entry profile and enter the pool. (This is NOT applying for PR yet.)

2️⃣ Wait for an Invitation to Apply (ITA)—you need to be selected in a draw.

3️⃣ Apply for PR after receiving your ITA by submitting your complete application to IRCC.

4️⃣ Wait for approval—if approved, you move to the landing process to officially become a permanent resident.

🚨 Important: You are eligible to apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) only if you have applied for PR—not just by creating an Express Entry profile.
