We’re pleased to introduce a new addition to our First Class Collection: 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗮 — 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝗹 𝗢𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗷𝗲 ☕️
We visited Colombia in Obraje to spend time with producers and learn more about the farms behind the coffees we roast. Among the coffees we tasted during the trip, this was one of the lots that stood out to us, and we’re excited to bring it back to share it with you.
Hacienda El Obraje is located in Tangua, Nariño, at 2,200 meters above sea level, an altitude once considered too high for coffee cultivation in the region. The rocky volcanic soil and dramatic temperature swings between warm days and near-freezing nights slow the ripening of the cherries, allowing the coffee to develop exceptional density and layered sweetness. This washed Geisha was introduced to the farm by producer Pablo Andres Guerrero in 2011 using seeds sourced from Panama, and is processed with care to highlight the variety’s delicate floral character.

Numerous new coffee shops are established every single year from around the world; some of them become successful within their community, and some even become an international phenomenon. Great quality products and customer service plays a massive role in their success, but branding is also important, an aspect often overlooked and under-appreciated especially if it's done the right way.
