Thank you to everyone who attended the TASME Conference 2024 🙏🏻 Here are the highlights from Day 1:
Day 1 kicked off with over 50 in-person attendees and more than a hundred joining online, making it a great success. Attendees engaged in dynamic workshops, networking sessions, and Q&A opportunities following insightful presentations.
We had impressive presentations across various fields, including medicine, environmental sustainability, and AI technologies. The intimate setting of small presentation rooms fostered authentic conversations, with a standout workshop led by medical students and resident doctors from TARMS. They shared inspiring stories, emphasized the importance of following one's passions, and discussed equity, diversity, and inclusion in Ontario medical schools.
Our chief guest, Sabesan Sithamparanathan, PhD, OBE joining via Zoom, presented a talk on “Passive IoT powered AI” and also provided exceptional insights during the pharmaceuticals workshop, joining a panel of experts who offered outstanding advice. The science sessions featured diverse presentations, from lung and cardiovascular health to diabetes and battery technologies.
The tech presentations highlighted advancements in AI, making for an exciting and informative day. Honoring Dr. Subramaniam Srikumaran was a memorable highlight for the panel and participants.
Breaks were filled with networking over healthy snacks, tea, and coffee, allowing participants to connect and exchange ideas. The interactive and celebrative reception in the newly built Harmony Hall capped off a day of learning, connection, and inspiration.
Stay tuned for Day 2 highlights as we continue to explore, innovate, and collaborate!
