Somehow, tennis feels like the most honest sport in the world.
No shortcuts. No one to hide behind. Just you, your mind, your discipline, and your ability to keep going even after losing points.

Life works the same way.

Some days your timing is off. Some days the weather changes. Some days you feel strong, and some days you walk onto the court carrying emotions nobody can see. But you still show up. You still fight for the next point.

Tennis teaches patience.
It teaches recovery.
It teaches emotional control.
It teaches that one bad set doesn’t mean the match is over.

Most importantly, it teaches mentality.

To stay calm under pressure.
To believe in yourself when you’re behind.
To lose with grace.
To win with humility.
To understand that consistency matters more than motivation.

Every practice now means more to me because it’s no longer just about sport. It’s about becoming someone my daughters can watch and learn from. Someone who keeps promises. Someone who gets back up. Someone who keeps evolving no matter the age, setbacks, or timeline.

One day, when the trophies come home, I want them to remember not just the wins but the discipline, resilience, and heart it took to get there.
