Anja’s birth embodies her so well, intuitive, fast and efficient. Her 2 hour active labour ended with her being born “in the caul”, a rare type of birth where she was born completely enclosed within an intact amniotic sac. This happens in 1 in 20,000 to 80,000 births is is thought to be lucky or auspicious.
