Jumma Mubarak!
Healthy Iftar
For this lovely collaboration initiated by
I choose dates and nuts to make this naturally sweet energy bites that will very soon be a part of your iftar spread
Recipe adapted and modified from healthy date and nuts energy bar .kitchen
1 cup Soak pitted dates
1/3 cup various nuts
1/3 cup dry coconut
1 Tbsp chia and sesame seed
Salt pinch
Optional honey
-Dry roast and grind all nuts
-Mash and cook dates into paste
-Mix the above two and press down into container ( keep in fridge for an hr)
Once hardened you can cut them into bars or roll them in roasted breadcrumbs and coconut. Drizzle dark chocolate for a treat!
