🇨🇦 Canada has introduced a major update targeting workers
already in the country (TR to PR pathway).

Up to 33,000 workers living in smaller and rural communities will be fast-tracked to permanent residence through a one-time initiative.

This applies to individuals who have already applied for PR under programs such as the
PNP,
Atlantic Immigration Program,
caregiver,
and agri-food pilots

and who have lived in these communities for at least two years.

No new application is required. IRCC will prioritize and process selected existing applications to help address labour shortages in areas that need workers most.
