Experimenting with a foggy atmosphere on paper. I find tracing paper does the trick.
Fog is one of my favorite weather moods to go out in nature.
And I know now we have ravens and crows living around our house because I listened to the difference of their calls online. Ravens have a much deeper tone and they communicate and chat with so many different sounds and throaty clicks. Fascinating.

This year I’ve been experimenting with cutting colored paper a lot. It feels strange and beautiful and sometimes doubting as I’m used to the black and white paper cutting and figuring out negative space. But now color. And then I was wondering if that would interfere with my consistent style. But I think evolving is good and why not mix it up? I still like consistency but maybe it shows through my style no matter the medium.
Also, I am heavily influenced by Lotte Reiniger’s work and that was black paper on translucent white or colored paper. And I wanted to stay true to that.

Do you like the colored ones better or the same than my black papercuts?
