I want to share my three most used apps for keeping my life organized.

💫 Google Calendar: It seems like every school I'm affiliated with uses GSuite - so I have many calendars. I've also created sub-calendars for different purposes, like a family calendar for my children's activities. I also use calendars for time blocking to set aside chunks of time to work on specific projects. I can toggle on and off these calendars on my phone.

💫 Reebee: I can search all the flyers and create my shopping list in one place. Another similar app is Flipp.

💫 Notes: The notes app on my phone helps me to capture ideas, make lists, and even dictate material when I can't type it out.

I've shared a little about myself as an educator and my academic background, but how does that translate to Beyond Ideas Consulting?

💫 teacher and educator: I am trained to facilitate growth and development in others. If I'm editing your thesis, or developing training for your staff, my goal is always to improve outcomes.

💫 alt ac in the academy: I continue to work in the university in my day job as an educational developer, with additional roles teaching and sitting on graduate student supervisory commitees as an adjunct professor. I understand, from multiple positionalities, what is expected of graduate students and early career academics.

💫 interdisciplinarity: I completed interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs; I'm trained to view topics from multiple perspectives. This is particularly useful for editing and proofreading - but comes in handy for any problem solving.

In any given day, I am problem solving; writing; developing educational resources; facilitating learning; editing and proofreading my own or other's work; reviewing, planning, or writing up research; or, consulting with educators to improve their practice. I'm sure there are lots of other things I do too ...
