The enduring spirit of labor unions, their long-standing advocacy for fair treatment and justice, and their history with new Canadians and racialized peoples are a testament to their commitment to inclusivity.

As we celebrate today, let's also recognize these communities' ongoing challenges. It's time for Labour to renew and strengthen its focus on ending racism and supporting these communities in their quest for equity and inclusivity. By collectively and actively working together to address systemic issues and help organize effectively, we can build a more just, equitable, and inclusive society for everyone.
Let's use this day as a rallying call—to not only reflect and celebrate on their achievements but also to pledge to the continued fight for equality and justice. It's only by standing together, in unity, that we can make a difference and create a future where every worker, regardless of background, can thrive.
