I’ve always been described as a free spirit, tree hugger, hippie kinda person & I love it! My soul finds solace near water or in the forest & my inner child is totally blissed out with the moon, shells, nature’s heart shaped gifts & feathers to name a few. For me, it’s the simple things that soothe my soul & bring me joy - big belly laughs, my fur babies, morning coffee, sunrises, sunsets or momen

Today, June 21st, holds 3 celebrations:
Father's Day, Summer Solstice & International Day of Yoga & each one of these has shaped me somehow.

From my dad, I learned the importance of hard work & family & the steady power of being humble & kind. It is these qualities that inspire me to leave people feeling safe & seen. My F-bomb slip ups were inspired by this man too!

Watching Pete parent Madi & Luke reminds me to hold onto integrity, to be honest & to work hard but play harder. Joy is the biggest takeaway as we laugh so much as a family, often times inappropriately!

The sun at her fullest today teaches that even on the heaviest days, the light always returns. And on this solstice, we remember to shine our own light too, proud of where we are & all we've grown through. Sunrises & sunsets, I'm a huge watcher of both as they fill me with such a feeling of peace & ease.

And last but not least is yoga! Without this ancient practice, I would be someone entirely different. Yoga has taught me the medicine of slowing down, turning inward, meeting myself with grace & loving kindness & the joy of simply being. I will forever be a student of this vast topic & because of this wisdom & experience, I'm able to share my passion with my yoga humans.

Cheers to you today, whichever one of these honourable moments you choose to celebrate xoxo

Friday night I held space for the most wonderful group of humans during a Candlelight Yoga class.

The theme I offered was Returning: to your community, your practice, your body, your breath & most importantly, yourself. We learned that returning has nothing to do with fixing, improving or changing but it's a simple remembering. Remembering the steady under the wobble, the quiet under the noise, the community that holds you & the practice that makes you feel like you again. The only thing asked of these ladies was to meet whatever they found with honesty as that's where things start to become real & we remember ourselves.

Creating special yoga experiences such as these are truly what lights me up. This evening felt so vulnerable & true & will be forever remembered as one of my favs. The blend of somatic & restorative yoga, tapping, journalling & Indian Head massage just seemed to be exactly what was needed.

Words such as comfort, peace, calm, no worries & gratitude were shared by the group. My word was grounded - a wonderful heaviness of calm & ease.

Thank-you to those who shared this space with me. I'm still feeling the lingering effects of your energy & presence.

Of course, I forgot pics but here are a couple that were shared with me. xo
