It doesn’t look it, but this Home bar was all sorts of awkward to plan out. We spent probably far too long analyzing the size of the armchairs and would they bash into anything if people got a bit swivel happy. The size of the rug couldn’t obstruct the bar stools pulling back and had to be far enough away from the hearth, yet fit all of the armchairs on. The bar had to be high enough to sit comfortably at, yet hide all the gubbins behind. There had to be a clear walkthrough as it was an adjoining room, and the door into the room was on an angle so the swing of it was ‘not normal’. We also had tons of different bottle sizes to contend with on the shelving.

But do you know what, all the planning worked, was worth it and we absolutely LOVE this room. Having had the chance to enjoy it of an actual eve, we can confirm it is designed not just to impress and give a bit of theatre, but it works and can comfortably be lived in, not a bashed leg in sight.
