Pulp maintains a high standard of quality for its submissions and spotlights a diverse range of sculptors, poets, graphic and fashion designers, authors, painters, comic artists, essayists, playwrights, filmmakers, humourists, satirists, and performance artists.

Junior Art Editors assist the senior visual arts editor with selecting pieces for publication, communicate with contributors, and participate in the magazine editing process. This position is currently only open to KPU students.

Spring 2026 Visual Art Spotlight: “Childlike Wonder” by Tianna Harrison
Tianna is currently working towards her lifelong dream of being a counsellor. She has worked with vulnerable children in several capacities over the past decade. As a counsellor, Tianna would like to encourage people to return to their inner child and come back to that childlike wonder.

Spring 2026 Visual Art Spotlight: “Awakening” by Tatiana Anisimova
Tatiana Anisimova is a Vancouver-based visual artist whose practice bridges contemporary realism and illustrative detail. Working primarily in watercolor and oil, she explores natural forms, floral symbolism, and quiet emotional narratives.
Tatiana is represented by Ian Tan Gallery and is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. Her work has been featured in national and international exhibitions, alongside artist demonstrations and workshops across British Columbia.

Spring 2026 Visual Art Spotlight: “Starstruck” by Desmond Tompkins
Desmond Tompkins is a KPU student and interdisciplinary artist based in Metro Vancouver. His piece, "Starstruck," deconstructs a film still, reconfigured to resemble the flicker of a TV screen just before it shuts off or the buffering of a film strip. By distorting the familiar image of a starstruck couple, it challenges Hollywood’s idealized portrayals of romance.
