If you aren’t getting job or interview, then try the following
1. Instead of applying online, go and visit every Long term care/LTC ( retirement homes, nursing homes, or hospital units)
2. Dropping resume in person gives you a chance to meet Manager directly. And it adds face value too.
3. Search goggle for RN INTERVIEW QUESTIONS, that way you will be ready to talk to hiring manager, in case he/she asks you any question when you drop off the resume.
4. Go to units/LTC etc when one shift is ending and another is starting. That way you get a chance to meet other RNs working there and they can update you about inside story or email of hiring manager.
5. Don’t only apply in your current city. Try all cities within 50 kms range. If you have to drive for 1 hr, to get first job, that’s okay. Later you can come close to your home place.
