I am sharing a few of my current challenges and what I do to recover so life’s challenges are managed a little easier and I am much less stressed during the process. Sending RECOVERY ENCOURAGEMENT your way, to do whatever makes you feel good and balanced. Think forest walk/bathing, sound bath, yin or restorative yoga, floatation therapy, massage. So many options in our community to choose from. Take time for YOU! And moreso when you really need it. Exercise is an important outlet for sure but when you are low energy and extremely fatigued, listen to your body and do something more gentle until you recover. ❤️

Attended a breathwork and salt ceremony at The Lift with Tina Shaw and friends last night. It was beautiful! We started with breathwork and then ended with a salt ceremony which I obviously loved. Salt is cleansing not just physically but also helps to clear emotions released and any lingering negative energy. It absorbs odors, facilitates quicker healing, cleanses and generates negative ions which our nervous systems and cells thrive on to be happy, healthy and well.
Being extra mindful when you are exercising, doing something challenging, or pushing yourself beyond your normal limits, can help eliminate or reduce exercise induced pain, prevent injuries when using weaker or imbalanced muscles, and help reduce recovery time.
Stretching in between your workouts as well as afterwards keeps the fascia nice and flexible and can reduce tension. Breathing during your entire workout with slower and longer breaths during your post exercise stretch will increase oxygen levels which will help repair muscles for quicker recovery, calm the mind and relax the nervous system and boost your mood.
Mindfulness is something we want to practice every day but even more so when we are pushing ourselves physically or even mentally and emotionally. It will help you overall, prevent further injury and promote more balance with less anxiety.
