One of the biggest misconceptions about extensions is that matting just “happens.”

In reality, extensions rarely start matting for no reason.

Most of the time, it’s a combination of a few small habits that build up over time. Going to bed with damp hair, product collecting around the attachment points, skipping your leave-in, or not brushing properly can all create the perfect conditions for tangles and matting.

The good news? It’s usually preventable.

A big part of my job isn’t just installing extensions. It’s teaching you how to care for them so they stay comfortable, blend beautifully, and last as long as possible.
