This anniversary shoot was definitely a last minute decision. Mainly due to my indecisiveness, but the consensus was that I would regret it if I didn’t do it.

I would like to thank and for working with me on this shoot 💛

Special shout-out to Jeevan. This was only our second time meeting but you were able to make me feel so comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

Despite it being a last minute decision, I did want it to be sentimental and we were able to integrate the different parts of my life for this shoot.

Location:
UBC saw most of ups and downs of my early 20’s. I would not be the person I am today if I had not experienced life at UBC. It was my first time walking around campus since my convocation and was definitely an emotional experience.

Sari: I wore my nani’s sari as one my outfits in this shoot. In hopes that she would be proud of the woman I have become and what I have accomplished so far. Words cannot explain how much I miss the extraordinary woman that I had the privilege of calling my grandmother. I love you 🌹

The idea of a subscription based Indian jewelry company had been in my mind for a few years. It had been an idea that I thought I would keep tucked away until I finished school and had a few years of my career under my belt. That changed on September 8, 2019.

On that day I went to a lash appointment with Jannet I was in awe that she was: working, in school and had a side hustle.
She told me the value of just starting and taking a risk. If it works, it works. If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. I apprehensively told her about my idea - she loved it (I think 😂) and we start creating a business plan and had a business name. She became my business accountability go-to person.

Less than 2 months later I signed a contract for creating my website.

It was all becoming a reality. I was actually doing it 😳💛
