If you live in BC you know the reason behind the unimpressed look on my face 😒😑

Gyms are being forced to close yet again. After one of the hardest years, myself and many others rely on our routines for a sense of normalcy. I’ve said it before and I’ll continue preaching it - the impact taking care of my physical health has on my mental health is unmatchable 💯

This is why we need the gym:

-Helps depression and anxiety
-Increases energy
-Sharpens memory and concentration
-Aids in better sleep
-Increases self esteem
-Decreases stress levels

I hope everyone makes the most of today and gets in their last gym workout. I’ll be getting in a back day followed by some quality time with the stair mill💪🏽

Praying this closure is temporary and not extended🤞🏽For now it’s time to bring back the resistance bands and home workouts

This hump day had me feeling some type of way 🥴

I’ve personally never been one of those types of people who can be fit without trying - I’ve always had to work really hard to achieve any results. That for me has always meant my workouts and my nutrition had to be on point. Lately, when I noticed others making gains without having to put in that same work ethic, I’ll be real with y’all it made me doubt the purpose of my effort.

But then as I was sweating on the stair mill, I thought to myself we all have our challenges and our strengths and I was certainly made strong enough to push past my own personal barriers. No one is capable of doing things the way I do and I don’t mean that in a egoistic way, I mean no one can do a better job at being me and overcoming my obstacles than me. I truly believe we are only put through what we are meant to get through.

The lesson here is it’s never you against anyone else - our journey is never aligned with anyone but ourselves. Plus when things come easy we tend to not appreciate or value them as much so here’s to working f**king hard and achieving everything that’s waiting for us on the other side 💪🏽🏋🏽‍♀️

It may not be easy but I promise it’ll be worth it 💫🥇

A few weeks ago, I shared how anytime my routine is thrown off I start to experience anxiety. Well little did I know how much life would be bringing my way this past month:

-My bestie visiting
-My grandma having a stroke
-Celebrating my husband’s grandma’s 90th birthday
-Meeting and hosting what felt like 100 family members who were in town for the above ^
-Celebrating my sister in law’s baby shower

Learning to roll with the uncertainty has never come easy for me but damn this month really forced me to. My point in sharing this is that life happens, things you cannot control will test you and it’s important to realize there will always be disrupters to our routines whether they are planned or unplanned.

Sometimes you really just gotta let go and accept things aren’t always going to be in your comfort zone. This month forced me to adapt and experience things and moments fully and I’m truly grateful for that 💕

Now time to jump right back into it 💪🏽
