Here’s what’s happening at The Backyard this week.

The World Cup is rolling, the screens are on, and the pub is already starting to feel like one big neighbourhood living room with better taps.

Monday
Kids eat half price, milkshake menu, and all World Cup games shown.

Tuesday
All World Cup games shown, plus $5 off burgers and half price bottles of wine.

Wednesday
World Cup games all day, England vs Croatia at 1pm, then Trivia with Shane Fry at 7:30pm.

Thursday
Canada vs Qatar at 3pm, local taps $6, and all World Cup games shown.

Friday
All World Cup games shown, with $10 Dentville Ginger Beer cocktails.

Saturday
Brunch from 11am to 2pm, $6 Steamworks taps, and all World Cup games shown.

Sunday (FATHERS DAY!)
Brunch from 11am to 2pm, Robbie Johnson playing 4pm to 7pm, and all World Cup games shown.

Come by, grab a seat, cheer politely or not so politely, and settle in. As always, be kind, share tables when it gets busy, and help us keep this a good home for soccer in Squamish.

It all starts tomorrow, and we’re ready for it.

Big screens, big sound, and hopefully a pub full of people pretending they are calm about group stage football.

We’ll be showing the games at The Backyard, with 6 screens visible from everywhere in the pub, a 140-inch projector screen, dedicated game audio, patio seating with a screen, pub classics, pizza, bowls, and 15 local taps.

First up: Mexico vs South Africa at 12pm tomorrow, with sound on.

Then Friday is the big one.

Canada takes on Bosnia and Herzegovina at 12pm, and we’d love to see the pub full of red and white for it. Grab your friends, throw on your jersey, take a long lunch if you can get away with it, and come help make it feel like a proper Canada match day in Squamish.

Trivia with Shane Fry at 7:30pm. Bring the smart friend, or at least the confident one.

Thursday
Football on the screens with Mexico vs South Africa at 12pm and Korea Republic vs Czech Republic at 7pm.
Local taps are $6 all day.

Friday
Canada vs Bosnia at 12pm. Let’s go.
USA vs Paraguay at 6pm.
Dentville Ginger Beer cocktails are $10.

Saturday
Brunch from 11am to 2pm.
Steamworks taps are $6.

Haiti vs Scotland at 6pm
Australia vs Türkiye at 9pm

Sunday
Brunch from 11am to 2pm, then more football:

Sweden vs Tunisia at 7pm

A little heads up for today.

We’ll be open as usual until 5pm, then closing early so we can take our team bowling for a staff celebration.

After a busy spring, lunch launch, brunch weekends, playoff chaos, and the start of summer creeping in, this crew has more than earned a night to celebrate and reset before things get properly busy again.
