Canada Day feels a little different this year. ❤️🇨🇦
It’s so special to be back in Canada. I’m here working hospital shifts, but I was lucky enough to have some time between them to get back out into the wilderness to soak up this incredible country and be reminded why I fell in love with it all those years ago.
Although I’m only visiting this time, I feel incredibly lucky to now be a Canadian citizen and to call this beautiful country home too.
Being here in Bella Bella, surrounded by such an amazing Indigenous community, has also reminded me that today isn’t simply about celebrating. Canada’s history means this day holds very different feelings for many people, and I think that’s something worth acknowledging.
So today, for me, is about gratitude. For this beautiful country, for the people who have welcomed me over the years, and for the privilege of being able to call Canada a second home, but it’s also about listening, learning and reflecting.
💉 BOTOX MYTHS: BUSTED 💉
There are so many myths surrounding Botox, so let’s separate fact from fiction!
❌ “Botox causes cancer.”
False. Botox has been extensively studied and has been used medically since the 1980s and cosmetically for over 30 years.
❌ “Botox lifts the face.”
False. Botox relaxes specific muscles to soften lines and wrinkles. It does not physically lift tissues. Other treatments may be needed for lifting and volume restoration.
❌ “Botox will make you look older.”
False. When used appropriately, Botox can help reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles and may even help slow the formation of deeper lines over time.
❌ “Botox can give you botulism.”
False. Cosmetic Botox uses tiny, highly purified doses of botulinum toxin administered by trained medical professionals. It does not cause botulism when used correctly.
✅ The truth? Botox is one of the most researched aesthetic treatments available, with decades of medical and cosmetic use behind it.

Keeping it real… this is me, first thing in the morning, still in my pyjamas 😂
Morning skincare doesn’t need to be complicated but it does need to be effective.
Cleanse properly (and for long enough!) to remove overnight oil + buildup so your products can actually work.
Vitamin C next; your daily antioxidant boost for protection + collagen support.
And then SPF. Non-negotiable.
Protects against skin cancer, yes, but also wrinkles, pigmentation + collagen breakdown.
Simple. Consistent. Results.
